I visited Trincomalee for snorkeling and really enjoyed the calm water and colorful fish. Early morning was the best time for visibility.

If you enjoy diving, I’d recommend asking local dive centers about the current conditions before booking. Visibility can change depending on the season.

I loved how peaceful the underwater experience felt in Eastern Sri Lanka. We also saw plenty of tropical fish while snorkeling near the coast.
